In the 3rd congressional district, unopposed Democrat John Adler continues to dominate in fundraising, while Republican Jack Kelly has slightly more cash than rival Chris Myers.
Adler has raised a total of $1.4 million for the cycle and is sitting on $1.1 million cash-on-hand. He’s raised $240,000 April 1st.
On the Republican end, Kelly raised $59,778 last quarter, bringing his total raised so far to $365,892. He has $134,989 on hand, but is $10,500 in debt.
Myers has still raised a larger total than Kelly, with $377,386 so far. But Kelly outpaced him last quarter, when Myers raised $42,600. Myers currently has $74,413 on hand.
Myers spokesman Chris Russell said that the campaign has a marathon series of fundraisers scheduled for this week and next.
Trailing far behind is Justin Murphy, who’s running as an anti-machine Republican on Senate candidate Murray Sabrin’s slate.
Murphy’s report wasn’t yet available online, but he said he thinks he may have raised a total of $10,000 so far.
“Not much,” said Murphy. “It’s a damn good thing I am good looking.”
