We’ve been meaning to invest in modern art, but damned if those Marc Jacobs bags aren’t such a steal on eBay! Artists like Marilyn Minter, Ed Ruscha, Wendell Gladstone, Lou Reed (now a serious photographer, dontcha know?) and Carlton De Woody (spawn of socialite Beth) hawk their creations at discounted prices for AIDS charity ACRIA at UNFRAMED 2008, an art sale hosted by designers Francisco Costa and Adam Lippes; artist Ross Bleckner; Domino editrix Deborah Needleman; socialite Gillian Hearst-Simonds; and guest curator Beth Rudin DeWoody. How do you like them apples?! Later, Ms. Needleman retires with Bergdorf CEO Jim Gold to fete East Village store owner John Derian’s new furniture collection, which we’re planning to purchase en masse and drop into our living room from a helicopter. …
