Dawn Lacy, who served as Acting Burlington County Republican Chair last year and lost her post after a bitter battle with GOP leader Glenn Paulsen, says she will step down from her post as Vice Chair. “Given the lack of moral judgment and corruption issues surrounding the Party, I no longer wish to be associated with this current leadership groupand therefore will not seek another term as Vice Chair of our county organization,” Lacy wrote in an e-mail, which is printed below.

Subject: Thank You
Thank you all for sharing the past few years with me in politics as your Vice Chair–
My husband and I are adopting more youth from the "100 longest waiting children" list in NJ, and they are where I need todedicate my time. Also, given the lack of moral judgment and corruption issues surrounding the Party, I no longer wish to be associated with this current leadership groupand therefore will not seek another term as Vice Chair of our county organization.
I would never imagine in a million years I would learn so much from my political endeavors here in BurlCo and I appreciate greatly those of you who supported me. For those of you who are glad I'm moving on, thejoy is mutual.
Whatever path the road takes you, I wish you luck and opportunity.
Remember, anyone is welcome to the county committee reorganization meeting tonight, 7pm at the Riverton County Club on 1416 Highland Ave, in Cinnaminson. According to our own bylaws, which I would behappy to send to anyone wanting to read them, the public is invited to all meetings. This evening is the election of 2 year terms for our Partyofficers.A county reorganization meeting only happens every 2 years so it is an interesting meeting tovisit.
