Salem County has a new Democratic Chairman.
Chairwoman Brenda Hall stepped down yesterday and was succeeded by Steven Caltabiano.
Caltabiano, a 31-year-old financial advisor for Morgan Stanley, faced no opposition for the post at last night's convention. He said it was the largest turnout he'd ever seen for a county committee vote, despite temperatures that reached nearly 100 degrees.
Democrats control the freeholder board in Salem, which is the smallest of New Jersey’s 21 counties.
