Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel and American Idol finalist Diana DeGarmo will star in Godspell, the first Broadway revival of the musical in 30 years, opening at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Oct. 23.
Mr. Creel got Tony nods for his performances in 2002’s Jimmy Smith and this year’s best musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie. He’ll play Jesus. This will be her second Broadway performance: she was Penny Pingleton in Hairspray.
