Who is leading in the contest for New Jersey’s fifteen electoral votes, Barack Obama or John McCain? Quinnipiac University will release a new poll on Wednesday morning, which will include a head to head presidential matchup, and New Jersey’s position on offshore drilling and other energy issues.
In a June 12 poll, Obama led McCain by six percentage points in New Jersey, 45%-39%. A Quinnipiac poll released today has U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg with a 48%-41% lead over former U.S. Rep. Dick Zimmer, and in a 2009 poll, Gov. Jon Corzine and Republican U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie in a statistical dead heat.
