DENVER—Here’s Bronx Democratic County Chairman Jose Rivera in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel a few minutes ago, saying he enjoyed seeing anarchists protest outside, and it reminded him of the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago.
“But there’s one slogan I don’t see among them," he added, "‘Make Love, Not War.’”
(Perhaps Rivera missed the stickers that said "Make Out, Not War," spotted by another reporter.)
Later, he got around to answering my question about Hillary Clinton’s name being placed in nomination. Rivera said he’s voting for Clinton until she releases him, which she hasn’t. (She is reportedly going to do so on Wednesday.)
“I wrote a banner that says, ‘I’m still with Hillary,” Serrano said.
