You might look like a dork, but there’s nothing more fantastic than going to a baseball game with a small radio to listen to the play-by-play while you watch it in person. It keeps you focused, and provides you an extra dose of analysis so you can impress everyone with your staggering knowledge of the game (in addition to being ridiculed by everyone who you just impressed, but whatever).
Since WFAN doesn’t broadcast tennis matches, American Express is offering tennis fans (with an American Express card) the great gift of tennis radio. It’s the same audio that they play on television matches, so you’ll have to endure Dick Endberg, but you’ll also get the delightful Mary Carillo. Of all the inane sponsorship offerings for fans at the Open this year, the radio is by far the best one.
