Bonnie Watson Coleman

Bonnie Watson Coleman, the Majority Leader of the New Jersey General Assembly and a former Democratic State Chairwoman, is the name most mentioned as a candidate for Lt. Governor in 2009. She is a close political ally of Gov. Jon Corzine, and could become the first African American to run statewide — and the first woman statewide candidate on the Democratic side since Thelma Parkinson ran for the U.S. Senate in 1930.

Watson Coleman was not included in the FDU poll.
