John T. Connor was the U.S. Secretary of Commerce under President Lyndon B. Johnson.
He was a lawyer and pharmaceutical industry executive who served as co-chairman of the Johnson/Humphrey campaign in 1964.
His son, Geoffrey Connor, practices law in New Jersey and served in Gov. Jim Florio's cabinet as the Commissioner of Banking.
