VSL:WEB // YouTube goes to the dogs (and hamsters, and chimps!)

Step 1: A musician named Parry Gripp finds animal clips on YouTube. Step 2: He sets them to music. Step 3: You giggle like a schoolgirl.

Gripp — who fronts the Santa Barbara–based “nerd rock” band Nerf Herder and uses footage of toilet-flushing cats and popcorn-eating hamsters for his online adventures — is an unabashedly literal lyricist: His “Wiener Dog Riding Skateboard” describes just that, and frolicking skunks inspire the Morrissey-esque “Stinky, I Love You.” Each video is over quickly, but you’ll want to watch it repeatedly. And Gripp’s masterpiece, “Chimpanzee Riding a Segway,” will have the entire office huddling around your desk.
