New Temporary Head for S.U.N.Y.

ALBANY—Trustees of the State University of New York have selected John O'Connor to fill in as chancellor.

O'Connor is currently vice chancellor and secretary of the university system – which enrolls some 440,000 students – and will become officer-in-charge of S.U.N.Y. on December 31, after the resignation of Chancellor John Clark.

O'Connor will also lead the Research Foundation arm of S.U.N.Y., according to a press release announcing the appointment. His salary remains $245,669 per year. New Temporary Head for S.U.N.Y.
