ALBANY—Trustees of the State University of New York have selected John O'Connor to fill in as chancellor.
O'Connor is currently vice chancellor and secretary of the university system – which enrolls some 440,000 students – and will become officer-in-charge of S.U.N.Y. on December 31, after the resignation of Chancellor John Clark.
O'Connor will also lead the Research Foundation arm of S.U.N.Y., according to a press release announcing the appointment. His salary remains $245,669 per year.
