Obama activist is likely pick for Princeton post

The leader of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in Mercer County has emerged as the favorite candidate to fill an open seat on the Princeton Township Committee. Liz Lempert, the Co-Chair of the Mercer for Obama effort, is expected to take the seat of Phyllis Marchand, who resigned after eleven years in office. Marchand’s replacement as Mayor is likely to be Committeeman Bernie Miller.
