Michael Bloomberg’s re-election campaign isn’t hiring everyone, he wants you to know.
“Last time I checked, there were probably a few other Democratic consultants in the country that we haven’t hired. Even I don’t think I have that kind of money necessary to hire them all. That’s not a particularly good strategy,” he said at a press conference in Battery Park today.
He was responding to a question from a reporter who asked about reports that his campaign is hiring numerous consultants and operative, including two who had been associated with his Democratic rivals: Hank Sheinkopf (from Bill Thompson’s side) and Basil Smikle (from Anthony Weiner’s campaign).
