Michael Bloomberg’s campaign hired away Basil Smikle, a consultant who had been working on Democratic Representative Anthony Weiner’s campaign.
Basil hadn’t submitted an invoice to the Weiner campaign since August.
This follows the almost-official acquisition of Hank Sheinkopf, a consultant many expected to work for another one of Bloomberg’s Democratic rivals, Bill Thompson.
