The latest addition is Taryn Duffy, currently a vice president of the IGR Group affiliated with Mercury Public Affairs, who will become director of operations for Deputy Majority Leader Jeff Klein.

Duffy previously worked as Klein's chief of staff, and joined Mercury after running his 2006 re-election campaign. She has also worked for Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.

Klein's spokeswoman Alexis Grenell said Duffy will be "primarily Albany-based." Chief of staff Adam Haight will stay on, Grenell said.

Duffy's new salary was not immediately available.
