–Eliminate 1,450 out of 16,200 city-funded slots in a summer youth employment program, to save $2,070,000 in Fiscal Year 2010.
–Replace some security guards with a remote alarm system at the ferry station, to save $201,000 in Fiscal Year 2010.
–No longer offer NYPD exams outside the city, to save $200,000 starting in Fiscal Year 2010.
–Charge customers 5 cents per plastic bag used at stores, to raise $100 million annually.
