Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is on Long Island today for the next leg of her statewide travels, but she found time to meet this week with lawyers at the two white-shoe firms where she previously worked.
Gillibrand stopped by Davis, Polk & Wardwell early Thursday morning, a person familiar with the visit said, to schmooze with old colleagues. Gillibrand has set a goal of raising $20 million before the 2010 election. While the event wasn’t an explicit fund-raiser, that was certainly the overtone.
Gillibrand also visited Boies, Schiller & Flexner on Wednesday for a similar gathering, the same source said.
