With its daily photo and video reports on newborn animals at the world’s zoos and aquariums, ZooBorns is the most adorable blog we’ve seen all month.
We checked in on Zoo Berlin’s baby hippo, Paula — she weighed 88 pounds after just two weeks of life — and entered a contest to name the San Francisco Zoo’s 2-month-old gorilla. (The baby’s father, Oscar Jonesy, will “choose” the winning entry on March 12.) The Denver Zoo’s twin red panda cubs induced serious swooning around the VSL offices. And at first, at least, even animals destined to grow up ugly turned out to be impossible to resist. The takeaway? Our pets will have to step it up in the cuteness department.
