Here's a picture of Cardinal Edward Egan, the departing leader of the Archdiocese of New York. I also saw Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of the Diocese of Brooklyn.

I caught Egan quickly before he went on Fred Dicker's radio show.

"I'm going to say a mass for the folks that are here for the public policy day conference, and then we're going to go around," he said. "We had a lovely day with Governor Paterson yesterday, and we'll be meeting with Sheldon Silver, Senator Smith, Senator Skelos, so we'll be seeing the majority leader in both houses and we'll be telling them all the good things we're doing and hoping that we get their support."

That includes issues ranging from the Unborn Victims of Violence Act to restoring cuts to social service organizations.
