Linda Atkinson and Nick Doob’s Carmen & Geoffrey is one of the most revelatory dance films I have ever seen, if only because I know so little about the subject. My ignorance is particularly profound with respect to the stunning contributions of such renowned dancers and choreographers as Carmen de Lavallade, Geoffrey Holder and their late friend and frequent collaborator, Alvin Ailey. Now in their 70s, Carmen and Geoffrey are still active as choreographers and teachers. They have been married for 47 years. Just see it!
