18 Middlesex towns pass their school budgets

 

MIDDLESEX – In the so-called “Greatest County in the Land,” voters chalked up victories for most of their towns’ school budgets, with exceptions in Helmetta, Edison, Carteret and Sayreville, according to the Middlesx County Clerk’s Office.

Carteret’s budget failed with 59.35% of voters voting in the negative. Edison’s budget failedwith 58.43%. Sayreville’s failedwith 56.94%. Helmetta’s went downwith 71.84% of voters saying "nay."

An additional 18 towns passed their school budgets tonight. Monroe and Old Bridge had not yet reported their totals.
