Here’s another robocall from Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver to constituents in his Manhattan district reminding them about a program to save on prescription drug costs.
The one-minute call is mostly informational, except, towards the end, when Silver says, “I fought for this prescription saver card to lower your prescription drug costs.”
The call was forwarded to me by a reader who received it. Two days ago, I posted another robocall from Silver which, like this, shows how he does his constituent-maintenance with servicey announcements at local level even as he continues to shape New York's agenda as the dominant male among the Three Men up in Albany.
Here’s the script:
Hi. This is your Assemblyman Shelly Silver with a reminder. The new prescription saver card program started this week, available by calling 1-800-788-6917. It’s for eligible New Yorkers between ages 50 and 64 who do not receive Medicaid or Epic. It can save more than 60 percent on many generic drugs and 30 percent on brand-name drugs. I fought for this prescription saver card to lower your prescription drug costs.
If you’re interested, the number to call is 1-800-788-6917.
Have a wonderful day and I hope you will call.
