Here’s Michael Bloomberg’s second English-language campaign ad.
It’s about protecting middle-class New Yorkers, and, in campaign terms, part of the mayor’s continuing effort to combat the idea, repeatedly frequently by his opponents, that he’s out of touch with ordinary New Yorkers.
The opening line is, “I hear it from people all the time.”
Bloomberg’s first ad also stressed this point, with the mayor saying, “The economy is in trouble. I hear it. I hear it when I take the subway. I hear it when I walk the streets in neighborhoods.”
