TRENTON — Just in case anyone doubted, Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Levine remains in the race – even after getting just 10 committee votes at the Republican convention of his home county of Somerset.

Levine filed 1,325 signatures at the Division of Elections this afternoon.

“It wasn’t unexpected,” said Levine about his fourth place showing at the Somerset convention, behind frontrunner Chris Christie, Steve Lonegan and his closest rival, Assemblyman Rick Merkt (R-Mendham).

"I’m more of a grassroots people person, and that’s where I’m going from here,” he said.
