ALBANY—A few people protesting David Paterson’s proposal for layoffs showed up at an Earth Day event earlier in Washington Park, yelling “no layoffs” and “you need a psychiatrist.”
Public television affiliate WMHT caught Paterson’s exchange with one of the demonstrators in the video below. She asks Paterson to reconsider his proposal for layoffs, he replies by saying:
“I will, and I hope your leadership also reconsiders some of the ways we need to save money right now.”
