State Elections Board: Murphy’s Lead Increases to 264

ALBANY—More paper ballots counted in Warren and Columbia counties have pushed Democrat Scott Murphy’s lead over Assemblyman Jim Tedisco to 264 in the race to replace Kirsten Gillibrand.

According to the State Board of Elections, as of 10 a.m. the overall tally was 79,772 for Murphy; 79,264 for Tedisco.

There are still some 1,300 ballots that have been set aside after objections from one of the campaigns. These ballots will be reviewed starting Monday.
