Answering questions after a press conference in East Harlem, Michael Bloomberg bristled when a reporter read part of the statement Bill Thompson released earlier today.
The statement addresses the resignation of a Bloomberg appointee, about which Thompson said, according to the reporter, showed the mayor has “a clear lack of sympathy” for immigrant communities.
“Oh, come on. That doesn’t even deserve an answer,” Bloomberg said. “You’ll have to talk to the campaign staff.” He then offered a brief defense of his record on the issue.
