EVESHAM – After two years in the wilderness, the Republicans have retaken control of the Evesham Council, according to unofficial results.
Republicans Howarth, Croft and Hackman won respectively with 2,463, 2,438 and 2,495 votes. They defeated Democrats Schmidt (1,650 votes), Whipple (1,562 votes) and Marrone (1,567 votes).
"After a year in which BarackObama was at the top of the ticket, we have the momentum again in a gubernatorial election year," said Burlington County GOp Chairman Bill Layton. "This was a very good win for us."
