Poll: Voters would back open space bond issue

Nearly six out of ten New Jersey voters would support a $600 million bond issue to continue funding for open space, farmland and historic preservation efforts, according to a new poll commissioned by the Trust for Public for Land and The Nature Conservancy. When read sample ballot language for the public question, 59% of voters said they would vote yes, and 33% said they would oppose it. 80% of voters polled said they want their legislator to support a bill that would put the bond issue on the ballot this fall.
