Visible Tweets lets you fashion the endless stream of Twitter messages into brightly colored tag clouds. It’s a remarkably elegant way to make sense of (and eavesdrop on) an endless variety of memes and conversations.
Type a name, word, phrase, or subject into the search bar and watch as the corresponding tweets form and dissolve — beautifully — into one another. Cameron Adams, who designed the app, thinks of it as a “seductive bit of eye candy,” which could someday be projected into public spaces: conferences, concerts, wherever people congregate and Twitter. If he’s right, apps like this could alter the landscape forever, and — judging by what we see here — for the better.
