HOBOKEN – Dawn Zimmer and Peter Cammarano are headed for a runoff election here, according to unofficial results from the Hudson County Clerk.

Zimmer received 3,614 votes (36.19%) to Cammarano's 3,402 (34.07%).

Beth Mason failed to make the runoff election, having received 2,330 votes or 23.33%. (Absentee ballots tallied later Tuesday night showed Cammarano receiving the most votes with 3,755, followed by Zimmer with 3,671. Mason trailed with 2,541 votes).

Zimmer's slate of Ravi Bhalla, Dave Mello and Carole Marsh also made the runoff and will -unofficially- face Vincent Addeo and Raul Morales from Mason’s slate in addition to Angel Alicea from Cammarano’s team.

Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy's 53% victory in Hoboken sets up the likelihood that the Hudson County Democratic Organization will throw its forces behind Cammarano in his June runoff election with Zimmer.
