Regardless of what happens in November, today is probably the last time Jon Corzine runs in a statewide primary election. Corzine has only run in three primaries: he defeated former Gov. Jim Florio 58%-42% for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination in 2000, and won 88% in the 2005 Democratic gubernatorial primary against former Pennsylvania State Representative Francis Tenaglio and James Kelly, who lived in a group home for the mentally disabled.
