Kolb Wants Letterman Fired Over Palin Remarks

ALBANY—Amid the chaos in the State Senate, Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb offers this to get headlines: calling on David Letterman to resign.

Kolb, in a letter to CBS head Les Moonves, decried off-color jokes Letterman made about Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on air, and specifically sexual innuendo about her 14-year-old daughter.

Letterman said during his monologue that, during a trip to New York, "One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."

Kolb wrote: "That an established media figure like Mr. Letterman would show such bad judgment, and attempt to make light of the serious crime of statutory rape, reflects poorly on the Tiffany Network."

Palin recently made a trip to Auburn, N.Y., in the district of Assemblyman Gary Finch, who also called on Letterman to resign.

I can't think of any real political motivation here other than this: the pro-Palin Our Country Deserves Better PAC spent a lot of money supporting former Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco in his failed Congressional bid.

Or maybe he’s just angry. Kolb Wants Letterman Fired Over Palin Remarks
