Sheldon and Me

This Friday is a preview screening for a documentary about Sheldon Silver’s first Democratic primary challenge in 20 years, called “Excuse Me, Mr. Speaker…”

It’s 71 minutes long, and will debut at 9 p.m. at the Tribeca Cinema, a part of the VisionFest Film Festival, according to the film’s director, Justin Sullivan.

Sullivan basically followed one of Silver’s challengers, Paul Newell, for the duration of the campaign, and spoke with people (including me) afterward.

It won’t have the action sequences of Street Fight, but should be entertaining, since this may be the only campaign documentary with a vampire cameo. Sheldon and Me
