I just tried calling Charles Barron’s cell phone and the aide who answered it said he’s still on a humanitarian trip to deliver aide to people in Gaza. (In the video linked here, of an unreported-on speech he gave before his pretty-much-unreported-on departure, Barron is harshly critical of Barack Obama for not taking a harder line on Israel, and for authorizing the operation to rescue the captain of an American ship in which three Somalis hostage-takers were killed.)
Barron will be back next week.
To tide you over until then, here’s Barron talking about the Senate coup in Albany shortly after it happened. Referring to the negotiating position of Pedro Espada and Hiram Monserrate as they bargained with the ousted Democrats, Barron said what we were watching was “hustlers hustling hustlers.”
