Dan Tishman Nails It: ‘I Think We Have a Resetting of Our World’

But it was going to be 2014, instead of TBD.

Yeah, for us, 2014 and TBD are about the same. You set your expectations when you know things are more real.

Just broadly on that site, why do you think we keep having [stalemates and intraparty fighting]?

The thing that has always been curious to me is that I don’t think generally many people understand the incredible complexity of doing what they’re trying to do. And there are complexities at many levels. There is complexity at the political level—here is a project that is being guided by its third governor. Here is a project that has multiple stakeholders and multiple conclusions, and it’s been my experience that the more stakeholders you add to a game, the more leaders you add to a game, the more difficult it is to make decisions.

On the stimulus package—do you think that has any noticeable effect for you guys?

I think the stimulus package has some effect. I don’t think it has nearly the impact that was the construction industry’s expectation to begin with. I think it’s had a very positive impact in other ways.
