Here's a statement from a spokesperson for Manhattan DA candidate Cy Vance, who is having an August 5th fund-raiser hosted by Eliot Spitzer.
Vance spokeswoman Erin Duggan, who worked for Spitzer while he was governor, emailed to say, "Cy has known Eliot since they worked together in the Rackets Bureau of the DA's Office, under Bob Morgenthau. Cy is friends with Silda and Eliot, who are both hosting the event, and both are substantial lawyers who know about and care about the future of the DA's Office."
Global Strategy Group, the consulting firm that was closely tied to Spitzer, is also working for Vance.
