Dougherty indicted on corruption charges

Former Atlantic City Deputy Solicitor Joseph Dougherty has been indicted on charges that he assigned city tax sale certificates to his business partner, who in turn "used the certificates to acquire four undeveloped properties for their real estate investment firm," according to an Associated Press report. It was a "classic case of corrupt self-dealing," Attorney General Anne Milgram told the AP.
