"Jon Corzine's disgraceful negative campaigning continues to belittle the people of New Jersey as they strive to make informed decisions about the future of our state," said Bill Stepien. "It's no secret Jon Corzine can't talk about his record when you look at our flailing economy, skyrocketing unemployment and unbearable tax burden, but it is downright embarrassing and shameful that a sitting governor is willing to go as low as he has gone.

"Governor Corzine and his campaign repeatedly choose to hide behind tasteless attack ads that underestimate the intelligence and integrity of New Jerseyans. These may be tactics that worked in 2000 and 2005 without a record to defend, but it's not going to make the last four years disappear this time," Stepien said. "We challenge Jon Corzine to stop the mudslinging and focus on what matters to working families who are struggling to make ends meet."
