1/3 of Latino leadership group were no shows in gubernatorial endorsement vote

In a vote taken nearly two weeks ago, the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey (LLANJ) voted 15-9 to endorse the re-election of Gov. Jon Corzine. But an internal power struggle has delayed a formal endorsement, and GOP challenger Christopher Christie is expected to appear in Hackensack tomorrow to accept personal endorsements of some of the Latino leaders. The LLANJ website list 39 members of their Board of Delegates. Since one member voted for Independent Christopher Daggett, that means thirteen members – a full one-third of the board – did not turn out to vote.
