The USTA announced that the women’s semifinal matches have officially been canceled. This means that the women’s finals will be played on Sunday, at the earliest.
The USTA said we will continue to wait for a break in the weather to try to squeeze in the completion of the Nadal-Gonzalez quarterfinal. That match is currently in a second set tiebreak.
UPDATE, 6:10 P.M.: Rafael Nadal and Fernando Gonzalez have been sent back to their hotel rooms. There will be no tennis today.
