City Councilwoman Inez Dickens endorsed Cy Vance for Manhattan district attorney, and went after Leslie Crocker Snyder for keeping an accused man in jail despite fingerprint evidence exonerating him because, Dickens said, “sometimes they say we all look alike.”

The issue Dickens raised had been brought up earlier in the race, and is based, primarily, on Tom Robbins’ reporting on Snyder’s handling of a case in 1997.
