Marc Jacobs Unsatisfied With Real Fame, Wants Fake Fame

Suzy Menkes called his last collection “exceptional for its imagination, its attention to detail and its lyrical vision of a sweet summer.” But evidently this is not enough for Marc Jacobs. No, aside from fawning praise and magnificent professional success, Marc Jacobs yearns also for the glories of reality television.

According to The Daily News, at least. Jacobs has “reportedly signed on” to star on Kept, a Logo Network show from the Real Housewives production team that will feature Jacobs’s ilk of “high-powered (openly gay) playboys.”

New York‘s fashion blog The Cut reminds us that a while back Jacobs said he wanted a show to follow “all aspects of [his] life.” But we’re thinking that he had something at least along the lines of The Rachel Zoe Project in mind, not the “Gay Housewives of New York City.”
