Sure, there’s always something good going on at Lincoln Center, but we wanted to point your attention to the opening of the 44th season of Great Performers, which begins with the return of critically acclaimed conductor Bernard Haitink and the London Symphony Orchestra who will be performing three concerts at Avery Fisher Hall on October 21 ,23, and 25.
Maestro Haitink and the LSO last appeared during the 2006-2007 season with an acclaimed traversal of the complete Beethoven symphonies. This time around you can experience their take on the genius of Schubert and Mahler that’s been receiving rave reviews in the UK. You can buy your tickets at www.LCGreatPerformers.org , call 212-721-6500 or scoot up to Avery Fisher Hall on Broadway at 65th St. But hurry! You’re not going to want to miss it.
