Last week, Michael Bloomberg endorsed Alan Khazei to fill the Senate vacancy left by Ted Kennedy.
Tonight, the mayor is hosting a fund-raiser in his townhouse for Khazei, according to the campaign.
Khazei, a Harvard graduate who helped found City Year in Boston, is trailing in the polls, but making some noteworthy pronouncements. Two days ago he said “we have lost our way in Afghanistan” and that “we do not need more troops in Afghanistan.”
Yesterday, Khazei said if elected, he’ll never meet with a lobbyist.
Wonder what he’ll say tonight.
