Michael Bloomberg said it took five months for his administration to find and hand over photographs from Sarah Palin’s 2007 visit to City Hall because, in all likelihood, they were “inundated” with other Freedom of Information Law requests.

In recalling the visit, Bloomberg also said, “at that time she really wasn’t interested in national politics.”

With respect to the FOIL requests, it is true that a fair number of them have been filed and slowly working their way through the system, including one from me for the daily schedules of Patti Harris and other deputy mayors. That FOIL request was filed on January 5.
