While some print publications lay off staff, or hire high-priced consultants to help them navigate the sluggish ad economy, newspapers have found an even easier way, according to Governor Paterson.
“There are economic problems that a lot of our media sources have as well, so they will spin things up and make them look more sensational,” he told a radio station this morning, while backtracking on yesterday’s criticism of the president for allowing the trial of Khalid Sheik Mohammed in New York City.
It’s not the first time the governor has criticized the media, who previously attributed some of his own problems to racial bias in the media.
Never mind that sensationalim hasn’t been working especially well of late.
