Paterson on the Radio

ALBANY—David Paterson appeared on two radio programs and Fox 5 this morning, during which he compared the political situation to Bosnia, said Bill Thompson’s narrow loss bodes well for him and predicted more incumbents would lose their seats in 2010.

I didn’t listen, but Ken Lovett did, and filed this story. Paterson said pushback about his proposal for a special session was surprising to him.

“I’m getting some push back about even being allowed to speak before my colleagues,” Paterson said on WOR. “Now if this was Bosnia or in the middle of Tehran, maybe I would understand why this is happening, but this is New York State and the United States of America.”

Paterson did not appear on WROW this morning, an upstate talk radio station, but a reader sent along a clip (below) of a recording played this morning on that station’s Steve and Jackie Show. In it, the governor supposedly calls the Yankees ticket hotline, and is mocked for trying to get free tickets by a robo voice. Paterson is under investigation by an ethics panel.
