John Crowley, the subject of an upcoming major motion picture, is writing a book to coincide with the release of the movie on January 22, 2010. Crowley, a Princeton resident who founded a biotech company to pursue a cure for his children's fatal Pompe disease, received much attention last year when Republican leaders sought to recruit him as a candidate for the United States Senate. According to the book publishing newsletter Publishers Lunch, Crowley is writing a book called Chasing Miracles with Ken Kurson, who is the Executive Vice President at Princeton-based political consulting firm Jamestown Associates. Kurson co-wrote Rudy Giuliani's No. 1 bestseller Leadership. It is to be published in late January, timed to the release of Extraordinary Measures, which stars Brendan Fraser as John Crowley and Harrison Ford as the doctor who partners with him to cure the disease.
